(124) It's Official

I woke up at 5:35 this morning
thankfully it wasn't dark outside
a drank coffee and crammed in some more information into my brain
i left for the bus stop at 6:45
I got to school at 7:15
i went to the student union to try to get some last minute information absorbed for my final
class/the final was at 8am
the professor decided we had done enough writing for his class, so we didn't have any short response questions. PTL.
I was out of class by 8:20
sold a book back and got $20 cash
rode the bus
got village cafe for breakfast (take-out)
was home by 9:10am

I am officially on summer vacation

i watched morning shows, greys anatomy, and the american idol results show
then i got to business: tackling my room
i put on some music and started cleaning up
i got hungry about 40 minutes in
i ate my pancakes
never made it back to my room
instead the tv went back on
and i fell asleep
the rest of the evening was wasted on relaxing and enjoying this semester being over.

(114) Keeping Busy

Woke up at 6:40
had a cup of coffee
went next door to feed the cat (cat sitting for a couple of weeks)
watched morning news
got ready for my day
walked to the bus stop
talked to someone at the bus stop and on the bus
I love random non-creepy conversations with strangers
went to my 9:30 class
found out it was cancelled
went to the gym for a couple of hours
got lunch
worked on polyvore creations
went to dr. medoras office
class-watched 16 presentations
as i was leaving class, so were dr medora and two students. They were headed to a tv taping fundraiser for the new zealand trip. Originally I wasn't going to go cause i had no way to get there and wasn't sure if i would have the night off. But they had room in the car. SO i went extremely last minute. It worked out perfectly.
we got there at 4:30
the taping wasn't even done at 10:15 when we decided to leave.
we got back to school and people were dropped off at their cars.
we went on a hunt for one of the girls cars. (I had no idea how big some of the schools parking lots are)
Dr. Medora drove me home
I checked my dvr so that i could watch glee
It didn't record. FAIL
I was able to watch it online. WIN
Soon i will be going to bed.
No class tomorrow, which means i can sleep in!!!!

(86) blaaaaahhhhhhh

Oh monday.....I think i will start off on a good note.
I had a very productive school day.
*finished a study guide-the test is tomorrow(tuesday)
*copied definitions for a test on wednesday
*read the articles for my 12:30 class
Its wonderful what can get done when i don't bring my laptop and bring my textbooks instead.

Now for what got done once i was home, or should i say what didn't get done.
*i made a late lunch
*took a nap
*woke up with a sore throat....grrrrrrr. Can i please shoot my body or at least get a new immune system
*watched tv
*spent too much time on the computer
*didn't do my study guide for CDFS 214-i have a test tomorrow
*didn't do the write up for my observation
*ate frequently...i was so munchy

As crummy as i am feeling about my lack of motivation this afternoon/evening, the good news is i still have plenty of time between classes tomorrow to study and get my assignment done. I just wish i didn't have a sore throat.
FYI: Zicam is going to be my new friend. I sure hope it works.

Little Pick Me Ups-
Things to make me feel better aside from medicine
*Only having 6 weeks, including finals, until summer.
*Remembering that i have less than 2 months until new zealand.
*Seeing pretty yellow daffodils on the mantle.

(61) its the little things in life

Just one more day of school and then it's the weekend.
I wish that the weekend equalled relaxing. Unfortunately this weekend is filled with work. Not much of a break for me.

Tomorrow also marks the beginning of my next group project and this one entails a lot more work and planning.
So now that i am fully aware of what is ahead, here is what has already happened:
today......
...i woke up at 7am. This would have been even more wonderful if i hadn't of gone to bed at 1am. So it was the same amount of sleep i always get instead of an extra hour.
...sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee and perused the pages of the April issue of InStyle magazine.
...went to school
...did my write up for an observation
...went to class
...worked out. I was still sore and tired from tuesdays workout.
...took a brief nap. It wasn't nearly long enough.
...went to my 2pm class
...rode the bus home
...got home and sat in my chair for a couple of hours.
...watched last nights american idol and americas next top model.
...ate corned beef and cabbage and potatoes.
...went to church
...caught up with friends
...continued catching up and hanging out at In-N-Out

Some little things that made me smile today and made me wish i had my camera with me:
-seeing tons of snails on a brick wall
-watching a squirrel run around
-seeing all of the beautiful pink blooming trees around campus
-running into debbie and us spotting a "legit" older man (he was wearing a trenchcoat, boots, a hat, carrying a breifcase, standing next to his fold up bike, smoking a pipe-it was amazing)

The best way to make it through crazy, busy, exhausting days is to focus on the big picture and to appreciate the little things in life and to remember to smile and laugh and enjoy the world God created.
