(108) Projects and Procrastination

I have been a very bad student this week.
Yesterday it was that i didn't start a project until the day before it was due. Today i had to finish that project which meant i couldn't make it to my first class.
Apparently i didn't learn my lesson. Today i still had to do a project (2 micro-teaching assignments) that are due tomorrow. I currently have one of them done. So that means that i still have one left. Of course i am really tired and don't want to stay up any later. WHY do i keep putting myself in this situation? Will i ever learn to plan ahead?

Here is how today went:
got up at 6:05
cup of coffee
magazine project
8:00 printed out the project
took a shower
For sure knew i wouldn't catch the bus and make it to class
watched glee
watched one tree hill
got dressed, hair, makeup
Outfit of the Day
ate an early lunch
walked to the bus stop
waited for a while...bus was late
got to school at 12:15
class
bus ride home
micro teaching project
ate early dinner
work (4-7:30)
drive thru jack and the box-strawberry soda
I love me some strawberry soda
home at 8pm
American idol
sort of worked on micro teaching
Extreme Couponing
blogging

Here is to you learning from my bad habits. DONT Procrastinate and don't use my blog as a way to avoid your work.

(107) Uh oh

So this post is a day late. I completely forgot about it yesterday.
Lets just say i was too preoccupied dealing with doom from my long bouts of procrastination.

Yesterday i spent hours on a magazine project.
I had the layout done for the moon landing. Unfortunately the person i was interviewing could barely remember the event and couldn't find any effects the event had on them.
SO that meant redoing the layout and photos.
I took a break and watched part of glee and then interviewed my dad about the assassination of JFK.
I spent hours working on the articles themselves. I went to bed after 11pm and still had one more article to write and had six quotes to find.
Needless to say, i slept awful knowing that i still had more to finish in the morning.

(106) Day and Night

This morning i slept in til 7am...impressive right. Ok not so much, but it was really nice not to get up at 6am.
Outfit #1:for school

At school:
-my first class got out early as usual
-during my break i formated a project that is due on wednesday...i hadn't even started it
Well, now it's started. I still have all of the writing portion to do.
-My other class got out a little early too. But it didn't help me out much. I had to wait around for the bus for about 20 minutes. Oh well.

Home:
ate a small snack
Put together and gathered things for my parent project presentation.
showered
got dressed
relaxed and tried not to stress
Out:
went to the general mtg. with mom
did my presentation. It seemed to go well.

 Outfit #2: Presentation

Home:
Bought Carl's jr on the way home: Santa Fe chicken sandwich
changed into PJs
ate dinner
relaxed
turning in for the night just after 10pm

(82) Feeling Good

So this has been a crazy week, but all of the madness has subsided.
Today's madness included:
-writing the outline for my parent program (due friday) before my 9:30 class.
(i love that i am productive in the morning)
-I drew the diagrams for my micro teaching project (due at 2) after my 9:30 class got out.
-ate lunch-panda express
-made an attempt to work on a study guide
-listened to music and read blogs instead of studying
-went to class then went home around 3:15
-5:30 got taxes done
-6:00 new zealand meeting
-8:00-10:00 ate dinner from deli news, watched american idol results show, and finished my parent project
-10-10:30 dealt with the computer being crazy and printed out my project
10:35 went up to bed. This is possibly the earliest i have been in bed this week.
Now i can sleep well knowing all of this weeks madness is over.

(81) Momentary Relief

It has been yet another busy and tiring day.
I got less than 6 hours of sleep last night which made me feel like a zombie today.
I spent my hour before class writing my micro-teaching assignment on gross motor skills.
I nearly fell asleep during my 12:30 class. Lets just say, movies and lack of sleep don't mix well together.
I got home around 2 and ate a soft taco and then took a nap.
When i woke up from my nap i got ready for work and then left shortly after.
I worked from 4:30 to about 8:30. (this is the earliest i've been off in a very long time)
I got home a little after 9. It was time to finish this project. I did the write up on dramatic play. I finished at 10:45. It was such a relief to have this assignment done at a reasonable hour. All i have left is to draw some diagrams-i will do this at school tomorrow.
Tomorrow also marks the beginning of another stressful day. I have to work on another project- due on friday.
So as good as it feels now to have something completed or at least nearly completed, it is only short lived. Thankfully my stress level should be dropping after friday.
(I just have to choose to not think about the three tests that are next week.)

(80) Working out as planned

It is after midnight and i just got home from work, so i have no desire to go through the entire days happenings.
Here are the important things:
1. I completed my miniproject (due wednesday) before my 9:30 am class this morning.
I got to check one more assignment off my list!
2. I typed out the format for my micro-teaching project-it was a start.
3. I was able to sign up for my fieldwork class. I even got the days that i had originally planned my schedule around. I love it when things work out how they were planned. (for awhile i thought i would be taking this class during the summer of 2012-it would have been awful-6weeks of working at a preschool 7am-5:30pm 5 days a week. Taking it in the fall means i am in the classroom 6 hours a week-much more manageable)
Ok that is all i am motivated to write.

(78) Ashamed

I am so horrible. I still didn't get much today. I did work on homework though. I didn't complete anything.
Worst student ever.....probably not....worst student i've ever been....definitely

I did however enjoy the time i didn't spend doing school stuff.
I didn't wake up until 9:45-guess im not going to church.
i went downstairs and was surprised to see that my parents weren't ready for church.
Mom cooked breakfast...so good.
I did a little bit of homework.
I ran errands with my parents.
did a little bit more homework.
dilly dallied on the computer-distracted myself from what i needed to be doing.
Played with velcro-the cat-not the adhesive.
ate dinner and watched the ACM's -i sure love country music.

FYI: i am dreading going back to school tomorrow. Can't it just be mid may already. June 7th would be even better, but i'm trying not to push it.

What to expect in this weeks blog posts:
complaining about...
...school
...stress
...projects
...papers
...being tired
...work
and im sure i will come up with some others.
Prepare yourself for a depressing week to come. My apologies in advance...It's just a part of my life-the good the bad and the annoying.

(64) Rainy Sunday

I started my morning at 7am-got dressed and had coffee then breakfast.
At 8am me, mom, and susie headed over to the antique market. We were there for less than one hour and then got rained out. We headed home with our one purchase (6 new, old dining room chairs for $75). It was nice to spend my time before work in sweatpants, cuddled in my soft fuzzy blanket, and hearing the rain outside. This extra time also allowed me to continue editing a video for a group project.

Today concluded the last day of my 4 day work week.
It was tiring but well worth it.
Today was one of two Sundays that i have ever worked in the past four years. It was kinda weird to be there. Thankfully my manager had agreed to not keep me too late since i was doing them a favor by working. I was off by 4:30. Such a relief.

I got home and put my sweatpants back on and used the rest of the night to finish up projects.
I finished editing and posting a video and then i finished my collage (personal-gift) project.

As always the weekend went bye so fast. I am so glad this is the last week to get through before spring break.
Here's what's coming up:
monday-project presentation(video)
tuesday-work
thursday-paper due
saturday-baby shower
sunday-tuesday-palm springs

I am getting to bed early(10:30) so that i am nicely rested for tomorrow and so that i can start this week off on a good foot.

(34) Stay Calm and Productive

I have so much to get done this weekend.
Here is my sticky note to do list to keep me on track:
I am trying really hard not to freak out or stress out. My main problem is knowing that i will want to procrastinate on all of these assignments. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do that. So i have to keep on track and stick to the plan and have all of these done by the end of Sunday because i know i won't have time to do them on monday or tuesday.
☁☁☁
Today's Happenings:
It is another cloudy day, and I'm happy about that except for not wanting to fully wake up.
I slept in 'til 9 and then got up and took a shower.
I spent the morning working on my roadmap to graduation project and doing laundry.
I got to class early and started this post.

Class got out around 3:40
I had to wait over half an hour for the bus to come-thankfully it wasn't raining much, but it was really cold.
I got home around 4:40 and was so hungry.
Mom made italian sausage and angel hair pasta. I was eating dinner by 5:15-So early, not at all like us.
Dinner led to the downhill spiral of a nonproductive night.
I watched:
Gilmore Girls (while eating dinner)
Design Inc., Cash Cab, Life as We Know It
(were watched while laying in front of the fire and listening to the rain-so delightful)
Next thing I knew it was 9 o'clock and that meant that it was time to watch Say Yes to the Dress.
Why oh why am I such a TV junkie. I'm way too addicted.

So i failed at my plan today, but there is always tomorrow.
