(36) Happy Days Are Here Again

Well I ended up getting 4 hours of sleep.
I'll be tired, but I'll survive.
The beautiful sunshine made it a lot easier to decide to get out of bed and start the day.

I went to church today, and I got to see Emily!!!!! I also took a spiritual gifts assessment. My top three gifts were: 1. Creative Ability 2. Hospitality 3. Administration.
Later, Emily and I went shopping-she had gift cards to use.
We went to forever 21, and i found so many things i wish i could have bought, such as....

I made it out of the store without buying anything. Emily bought a shirt and several pieces of jewelry.
We ran some errands and then headed home for tacos and watched Life as We Know It (she hadn't seen it )

At 3:30 i went on facebook, and what did i find on my news feed???
Does it look familiar? I showed off this creation in my Valentine's Day post
WWEPW used the outfit i submitted as their icon for their sweater contest post.
My creation was featured on their website. It is the last look featured. I like to think she saved the best for last.

Song of the day

I got a little more work done today. I definitely did not accomplish my goal of having all of my to do list completed. However, everything i have left to do is manageable.

Around 8pm i gave up on the studying and decided to go the movies with Emily and her mom. We watched Just Go With It. It was hilarious and a really good movie. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. SO if you are looking for a laugh and don't mind some inappropriate jokes and spending anywhere from 10-12 dollars to do so, then go see it.

And now I am off to bed because unlike most everyone else, I have school tomorrow. It is so lame but i am just going to pretend that everyone else is at school or work too, and not enjoying their monday off.

(21) Next day please

It's February 5th and that means its Emily's Birthday. This also means that my birthday is one week and one day away.
Happy Birthday to my best friend and thanks for 20 years of friendship and sisterhood.

Last night I spent the night at Erin's house.
this morning I woke upt 10 am.
We watched:
Such a good romantic comedy.

I went home a little bit before 12.
I brewed a pot of coffee then hopped in the shower.
I put comfy clothes back on and tried to get my school stuff organized.
-I wrote all of the due dates in my planner.
-I printed out notes and assignments
-I organized my binders and notebooks
All of those things needed to be done, but i should have been working on my trend analysis paper. (I am a great productive procrastinator)
I ate lunch around two and then got ready for work.

Shaun and Sarah took me to work at 3:30. My stomach was hurting from lunch and I really didn't want to be at work. One of my first tables was 6 teenagers who got separate checks and didn't leave a tip. Around that same time i had a table of 4 people and their bill was almost $70 and they left me less than 10%. Everything was going wrong and on top of that i was feeling really out of it, dizzy, and weak. By 5:30 i was feeling awful and i had a really difficult table who clearly didn't like me. I had hit the breaking point. I went to the back and full on broke down. This had never happened at work before. It was so embarrassing to be crying and having co-workers coming up and asking me what was wrong. I almost got myself under control. I asked one of the hosts to keep an eye on my tables, and then i broke into sobs again. One of my managers came to the back to check on me. She got me a glass of water and said that if I wanted to go home I could. I couldn't get my emotions under control and chose to go home. I was so happy to be able to get out of there. By 6:45 I was home, still emotional, but was able to start calming down. I changed into sweat pants and made a pot of rice (my ultimate comfort food). I lounged on the couch for the rest of the night watching the Glee (my happy place) marathon on oxygen.

I am definitely ready for today to be over and to have a fresh start tomorrow.

(3) A Good Day

Theme Song of the Day

9:22am
Morning Wake up Call from the Dr.'s office.
Luckily Andrea(woman who called) was very nice and easy to understand.
Dr. Appt. confirmed for Wednesday @3:45, 3rd floor, suite 304.
It's a different Dr than i've been seeing. Maybe she will find that being sick since November is not normal. Maybe she will actually prescribe me antibiotics. Maybe she can prescribe me allergy meds. I think I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope it's not just wishful thinking.
9:30am
Made myself get out of bed....it wasn't easy.
Poured myself a huge cup of coffee.
This mug is the size of my head
TV: Caught the last half of Live with Regis and Kelly
(And Regis is moving on from the show after 28 years. Is it bad to be happy about this. Too bad. I always felt so bad for the people he interviewed.  He didn't know much about them, he would interrupt their responses, and so many of them looked uncomfortable. I will, however, miss Kelly and His talks that happen the first 10-15 minutes of the show. But that's about all I'll miss about good old Regis)

5pm-11pm
Work
It started off really slow, which was a pleasant change from the previous shifts over the last few weeks(where i felt like i was being thrown into chaos). I was in a positive mood the whole time, which was also a nice change. The past few shifts I had been easily overwhelmed, stressed, and not myself. It was so wonderful to be back in the swing of things. The pace picked up after two servers were sent home, which meant it was time to step it up. Me and my coworker kept busy from about 7 to 10 (closing). By the end of the night I had made over 17% in tips, which is good for where I work.
Sigh of relief for the night being over and being home.
And an even bigger sigh of relief for being back to my happy, positive self at work.
