(121) Day 1 of finals

Yes, this is one day behind.

Yesterday was the first of my 3 finals.

The plan was to get up around 7, continue studying and then get to school a little early and then take the final at 10:15.

My body had other plans. 

Velcro woke me up around 5am.

I got up to use the restroom, and velcro followed me.

i crawled back in bed, settled in and waited for velcro to settle in too.

Instead she got on my bed and bit my arm.

I then got out of bed and kicked her out of my room (more like tossed her out of my room)

i got back in bed and my mind starting going in so many directions.

i leave for new zealand in 3 weeks from today...what luggage am i taking...what clothes am i packing...when i come back how much should i work...i'll have jury duty a wk. later...then i leave for a roadtrip....its going to be so hot...i hope the weather change doesn't make me sick....wow i am really going to be gone a lot this summer...could i squeeze in time to go visit my friends where they are staying.....

It went on and on. I finally realized i wasn't going to fall back to sleep. I got out of bed at 6am.

Sat down with a coup of coffee.

enjoyed listening to the rain

Continued studying.

took a shower and got dressed

went to school really early (8ish)

went to the lounge and kept studying.

took a nap

(30 minutes, i woke up every 10 minutes and checked the time)

kept on studying

went to class

turned in my 8 page paper

took my final

waited 20 min for the bus

bus ride home

el burrito jr. for lunch

then walked home

watched tv

took several naps

studied for my HDEV fianl off and on the rest of the night.

by study i mean i copied all of the notes from the final review powerpoint (52 slides)

for dinner we had an array of food from deli news

watched part of the biggest loser

watched the one tree hill finale....so good...and its renewed for 13 more episodes :)

slept on the couch

(98) Easter

What a wonderful Easter Sunday.

Woke up at 8:30 and had a cup of coffee...

Saw that mom had made bunny shaped pancakes...

Got dressed... I had quite the time trying to find a sweater/jacket to wear. The rain really through my outfit for a loop. It all worked out (after trying 8 different things)

We went to church as a whole family

When we came home we started making lunch

This process was interrupted with "hurry you guys have to see this"

Surprise easter egg hunt...

And i would cut myself by cracking the egg while trying to get it open...

The eggs were filled with coupons to be redeemed whenever we would like....

We ate lunch and a little while later our new dryer arrived...

Out with the old, In with the new

Then i ate some homemade strawberry pie...

I sat down on the couch ready to read and highlight 7 articles so that i could write an 8 page paper...

Well i didn't do that...Instead i watched tv and took a nap and then got stuck in a time warp of tv and internet, mainly stumble upon.

I looked up places i want to go when me and mom do our road trip, places i'm going in new zealand, and  i just looked at photos on stumble upon travel.

Mom had me watch biggest loser cause they are still in new zealand. We fastforwarded (so not a word) through all of the workouts and challenges and just watched the adventure activities and scenery.

It is getting me more and more excited. Just more than a month to go.

Throughout the day (afternoon and evening) i took some pictures of the flowers in the front yard...

Perhaps i will still get some homework done tonight. I have some time left. 

FYI this paper is due on wednesday...i suppose i should really get to work on it.

(64) Rainy Sunday

I started my morning at 7am-got dressed and had coffee then breakfast.

At 8am me, mom, and susie headed over to the antique market. We were there for less than one hour and then got rained out. We headed home with our one purchase (6 new, old dining room chairs for $75). It was nice to spend my time before work in sweatpants, cuddled in my soft fuzzy blanket, and hearing the rain outside. This extra time also allowed me to continue editing a video for a group project.

Today concluded the last day of my 4 day work week. 

It was tiring but well worth it.

Today was one of two Sundays that i have ever worked in the past four years. It was kinda weird to be there. Thankfully my manager had agreed to not keep me too late since i was doing them a favor by working. I was off by 4:30. Such a relief.

I got home and put my sweatpants back on and used the rest of the night to finish up projects.

I finished editing and posting a video and then i finished my collage (personal-gift) project.

As always the weekend went bye so fast. I am so glad this is the last week to get through before spring break.

(41) Homebody

Oh Friday, I used to love you and now I dread your arrival.

Today wasn't all that bad. I enjoyed my morning at home drinking coffee and getting ready for the day ahead. 

I worked on a Welcome to My Closet post. This one features two celebrity look alike clothes and the Mod Cloth 70% off sale.

I was online and came across this new glee gem:

Today I left the house at 11:40 so that i could be at school by 12:30 to meet for my group project. It went much better than i anticipated. Everyone already had their activity planned out. I was able to change my activity to make it easier on myself and not have it conflict/overlap with my other group members. 

Class started at 2 and we were out by 3:30.

 I had to wait 15 minutes for the bus to arrive. 

It had started raining and it was freezing outside. 

I was so happy when the bus arrived.

 I climbed on and started thawing out.

 There weren't too many people in the bus. In the set of seats next to me was a couple who were talking off and on. About halfway through the bus ride they started arguing. Then they weren't talking and then they were arguing again. When the bus made a stop the guy stood up and got off the bus. The girl said "well then I'm getting off too." It was the weirdest thing. It almost didn't seem real. The situation felt more like an act, as if there was going to be some camera crew coming out from hiding as soon as the bus pulled away. Of course, no camera crew showed up, instead I was left in awe of how weird that whole situation was. I'm still kind of convinced that it was some kind of acting class activity. I will never be entirely sure of what it was all about...that bugs me.

I got home around 4:15 and vegged out for the rest of the night.

I watched some tv, made some outfits on polyvore, ate dinner, and then watched the notebook.

It was nice to spend the night at home all cozy listening to the rain.

P.S. I got to wear my cute rain boots today. I love them.

(34) Stay Calm and Productive

I have so much to get done this weekend.

Here is my sticky note to do list to keep me on track:

I am trying really hard not to freak out or stress out. My main problem is knowing that i will want to procrastinate on all of these assignments. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do that. So i have to keep on track and stick to the plan and have all of these done by the end of Sunday because i know i won't have time to do them on monday or tuesday.

Today's Happenings:

It is another cloudy day, and I'm happy about that except for not wanting to fully wake up.

I slept in 'til 9 and then got up and took a shower.

I spent the morning working on my roadmap to graduation project and doing laundry.

 I got to class early and started this post.

Class got out around 3:40

I had to wait over half an hour for the bus to come-thankfully it wasn't raining much, but it was really cold.

I got home around 4:40 and was so hungry.

Mom made italian sausage and angel hair pasta. I was eating dinner by 5:15-So early, not at all like us.

Dinner led to the downhill spiral of a nonproductive night.

I watched:

Gilmore Girls (while eating dinner)

 Design Inc., Cash Cab, Life as We Know It 

(were watched while laying in front of the fire and listening to the rain-so delightful)

Next thing I knew it was 9 o'clock and that meant that it was time to watch Say Yes to the Dress.

Why oh why am I such a TV junkie. I'm way too addicted.

So i failed at my plan today, but there is always tomorrow.

(32) ☂☁ Rain, I love you ☁ ☂

I love rainy days.

Today I sported my blue rain boots, pink and green umbrella, and my new grey wool coat.

I spent my time before class in the student union enjoying the rain, listening to music (Taylor Swift), and reading an article for a class.

After class my classmate Kristen and I headed over to coffee bean to get some coffee. I finally got to use one of the many gift cards i have for there. I ordered a hazelnut latte. It was delicious. 

The rest of the school day included:

-more reading

-lunch: $1 hamburger from Carl's Jr.

-class and forming groups for a group project

-riding the bus home

At Home:

-Sang some glee karaoke-its not as much fun without friends

-At more: steak and mushrooms and strawberry pie

-watched: The Bachelor, parenthood

-I fell asleep during parenthood-it ended up being an hour long nap

-I woke up and went to my room and fell asleep again for another 1/2 hour or more

-I eventually got up for good. But that didn't happen until my mom was calling up at me from the bottom of the stairs. (we were about to leave to go to dinner)-i was a zombie until we sat down at the table.

-Dinner: CPK fundraiser

-Back home-watched American Idol

Side note: I have eaten so much today. I am finally going to get back to gym tomorrow.
